My Story

Hi,

My name is Keagan McGill, I served 7 total years in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant both in active duty and in the reserve. During my service I spend much of my career deployed to various location around the world such as combat tours to Afghanistan and other areas of the Middle East (Qatar, Kuwait Egypt). I worked many sides of the Marine Corps both airwing, ground side and as a Marine Security Guard, guarding our embassies under the United States Department of State. After my service I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace and have worked for a number of major defense manufacturers. Aerospace is my career, but firearms is my passion, and I have spend many years gathering a library of information and certifications through firearms schools and training courses such as the Modern School of Gunsmithing, Sig Sauer Academy, American Gunsmithing Institute, and many more.

My firearms background:

Both in the military and outside I have had the privilege of operating and familiarizing myself with a number of classes of firearms from all around the world. This includes building my own personal collection of a number of different weapons systems. I have trained and expertly qualified on some of the United States most difficult and comprehensive shooting courses. I have taken course work through two gunsmithing school and am a certified law enforcement Glock armorer among others. It is my goal and passion to share this education and understanding of firearms with anyone who has a desire to learn, wants to safely, and legally enjoy an industry that has been around for generations.

Story behind the name:

You may ask yourself why Article 15 Arms? Well there is a story.

For those who are not familiar with Article 15 in the military it is a commanders tool used to discipline for minor misconduct and is known as a non judicial punishment, and in the Marines it has the slang term of "being ninja punched" or "NJP'd".

If you don't know the saying here it is, "Only a good Marine gets NJP'd at least once", and yes in fact I was Ninja punched. During my time as a Marine Security Guard I was charged with doing laundry while executing the duties and responsibilities as a security rover, seems silly right (there is a much more interesting story that goes with, so feel free to ask after booking one of our services). Well this came with 60 days restriction and loss of half pay for 2 months and a reduction in rank (which I eventually regained). You are never defined by your past but there is no rule in making fun of it, so here we are, a company built to teach my passion with a little added humor to those who understand it. This is for all you terminal lances and E4 Mafia members who could not escape the "green weenie".
